Hi guys. Huge problem, a30 1995 model. Gearbox wont switch on, no fault codes. Somedays it works, when tempeture rises over minus 10 and you start engine, rise pressures->gearbox wont switch. And then, when its zero tempature, it works. No metal on oil. When error is on->gearbox heat stays on zero. What could be wrong. Please help me on this.
When you say "gearbox" do you mean transmission or drop box? If you mean transmission and you have a issue that seems to change with ambient temperature, I would evaluate what you have in there for oil. Typically they run ATF and on my A25C you can't check the level until you have drove it for a bit and got some heat into the oil. Also put future questions in the "off road haul truck" section if you want a quicker answer.
Transmission. That problem was solved by the oil. But, new problem. Machine runs sweet about 3-4 hours, then transmission stops. Power off->wait like 10 minutes and then it works about 20 minutes. What the ruck could be this. About 8 years i have owned that and never that fucker have done this.
