hmmm ye olde 210’s are flavour of the week it seems. After batteries, do any ECU’s need disconnecting when welding on the stick area and if so will they need re-programming when connecting back up?

Unplug all the ECUs, you don't have to remove them, just unplug em. The overlooked ones are HVAC, CARETRACK, and Instrument panel. I'd also take power and ground away from the electrical distribution box. That poor thing is known to fizzle out. Keep your ground and stinger close to one another and you'll be fine. Good luck.
