I was checking the fluid in mt J.D.310a and found it to be milky. I know this is a function of water in the hydraulic fluid, Is this a bad thing or is it normal? Will the water separate out so I could drain it off? Where could the water be coming from other than normal humidity? Thanks
The JD310 has a common oil supply for the transmission and the hydraulics and IIRC the brakes. A possible source of water is a leaky oil cooler. I would replace the oil and filters asap.
