Thinking of building a stumper for my excavator. Do I need to do anything special welding it up. Will .045 s-7 wire and Stargon be ok or should I use something else? Thanks pointrow
It all depends on plate thickness and joint design, I always use an E71T-9M wire 1/16" diameter for heavy weldments such as a stump shear. Pre heat and post heat is a the only other thing I would recomend. Good luck with your project.
