I am looking for the fair market value of a 2000 Case 590 Super L with around 5500 hours. The machine has 4WD, cab w/air, 2 stick controls, aux hydraulics, good rubber, and NO EXT HOE. It is allegedly an owner/operator machine currently owned by at least the third owner. Also, would the value change if it can't be proven that the machine has always been an owner/operator machine? Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
Prices can be all over the board, some people think their machine is worth a king's ransom and ask for it and some people just want to sell their machine. The biggest questions for you are: what is your budget? and what are the essentials that you have to have for a machine. 29-35k is the range around NW IN. Owner/operator is a loose term, alot of people aren't meticulous when it comes to taking care of their personal belongings so you have to go through the machine like you would anything else. A good solid machine is a good solid machine regardless of the type of ownership. Never hurts to ask for a lower price all they can say is no.
Thank You very much for the information.
A good L is worth the money, very good reliable machines. Dealer here had a 590SL over the winter, 2000 with 600hours for 40K. Was sold just bout as fast it came in. I see most good low hour L's go for around 28-30 around here. The older or higher hour ones seem to be in the 25-28 range.
