What symptoms would you expect

from a failing transmission charge pump? It is the charge pump used on the Clark transmission in a Ford 6500 TLB. It has two shifters, one with forward and reverse and the other has low, medium and high. Just describe what might be expected or what to look out for. Thanks in advance

Most may work until the oil gets warm and then F/R and shifting starts acting up. If the hyd system is also having issues it could be a flywheel drive ring about to fail also. There is a coupling between the drive and charge pump that may be worn. There also is a dump valve in the trans control valve, middle spool and spring that could be sticking or weak spring allowing oil pressure to be low. Changing the trans filter and sump may be a good start with a pressure check. Been awhile since around a 6500, may be able to find some spec's on pressure and testing on here.
