Yamnar coolant leak…

On my Takeuchi TB o16 with a Yamnar #3TNE 68 -etb1 , there is a small coolant leak....My first guess was a leak coming from the water pump gasget, or from one bolt holding the water pump, or from the "o"ring connecting the water pump to the cylinder head. So I replaced the gasget and the "O" ring of the water pump, but there is still a tiny drop of coolant (like before) coming out near where the water pump is attatched to the cylinder head. Before dismantling the cylinder head to replace the gasget, do some one of you guys has ever experienced a small coolant leak from the cylinder head gasget on this engine model. Thank you for your reply! Ronald

I'd try some stop leak way before pulling a head. Like the AC Delco tablets.

IceHole, what could be the negative side of using "Stop Leak"?

Coolant will take the path of lowest pressure, easiest to get through. Sometimes the Coolant will stop leaking with similar products, could start leaking inside instead or not leak at all. Cannot ever know for sure til tried. Simon C
