Z80 Genie Platform Level Not working from Platform/Ground.

Serial Number 113. Z80. The Tilt Function Wont work from Upper or Lower Controls. It will Work off the Electric Pump. Replaced the Coils and Valves on the Manifold of the platform. If I swap the Connector for coils packs. Jib and Tilt. The Tilt Works and the Jib does not. Swapped the Hoses also from Rotate and Tilt. Then Tilt will work then Rotate wont. Coils ohm out good 6.1 /12.2 Pins 1-7,8. Auto Tilt Don't work if I Boom Up. The Platform will stay level but can see the Platform Tilt Sensor Goes up. But Basket doesn't move. Have to turn to recovery mode to lower Boom.

Looks like dump solenoid not getting energized with tilt activated. There’s diode block in the main control panel closer to the bottom. Check the connection to it. Those spring loaded terminals in that DIN block gets loose over time

Looks like I’ve messed up and confused it with S80. Sorry

As far as I remember there’s platform level safety switch.

Auto Tilt Seems to work on when i Run the Main Boom. Secondary Boom doesnt function the Auto Tilt. The Platform Level Sensor Climbs all the way up 7.7 then Locks out Lift. The Basket doesn't move during this operation.

the early serial number Z80's were very sensitive to basket level. The least little bit of of angle would lock out the entire system and leave you stranded in the air. Genie did make a kit you added to the basket, allowing you to over-ride a lock out condition. We replaced that valve block on the back of the basket 2 or 3 times on the one we maintain. Have you ever watched the read out of the basket level from the ground panel as you raise the boom?

I replaced everything as for parts for the manifold, except the block. Still no tilt function. I do get 12v dc to the coils. Just no operation. we do have a platform recovery switch that ties into the platform level sensor but that don’t even work either. The only thing that operated the tilt function would be from the ground control battery operated function. When I run the machine from the Tcon while running the main boom does seem to auto level the basket. But the secondary boom does not the platform sensor will just rise. While the basket doesn’t move. Til it locks out around 7 on the platform sensor

Is that old girl showing any codes on the display at all? Make sure engine RPM is right on spec too. The linkage wears out, it's just an aluminium bar.

Have someone watch the platform level display from the ground while you raise the primary boom, and again when you raise the secondary boom. See if the display continues to read even when the basket is not leveling.

the display platform sensor moves up on main boom it will auto tilt the secondary boom the. Able will just riseing th platform does not tilt at all during this also

If you have the booms set up to move fast, try slowing them down, using settings on the panel. After that, hook up a pressure gauge and check system pressure. Use the boon retract function till it goes over relief. Compare the pressure using the electric motor to the pressure using the engine on high PPM. Thinking your function pump might be dying. Check that throttle, make it's pulling in right to the stop on high engine.

@gplesman have you ever found the issue? We have a Z80 with the exact same issue. Except we only get like 2.5v at the tilt coils.
