ParticipantLooking at dragon123’s picture, it does not look like a common rail engine. It must be an earlier one. Would it still have an ECM if it was a mechanical engine?

ParticipantI’m not familiar with that engine, is it a common rail engine? If so that makes it alittle harder to diagnose. Which ECM did you replace? machine or engine. Maybe you could post some pidtures of the engine to give us a better idea of what it is.

ParticipantIf that is what us is the tractor and it worked ok that is what I would stay with. Better yet get the one that is on it rebuilt.

ParticipantHas anyone checked the fuel shutoff solenoid? Make sure it does not stop working after it heats up for awhile.

ParticipantSo it looks like if you have the GM engine, it does not have a fuel pump relay. The engine ECM controls the ground side of the pump to regulate the pressure. If you have the FORD engine it looks like the relay would be under the cover that is over the intake manifold. There are three relays there, power, start, and fuel pump.

ParticipantCan you post your serial number please.

ParticipantIt probable is a the lower control box. You can go on JLG’s web site and look up a repair manual and it would tell you.
